Description
3 year old adult dog. Not neutered. We rehomed him from a council pound.
Previous owner indicated he was good with children, well trained and were rehoming as they were moving.
However we have found him unsuitable to live with a family. He would be best suited to one person who lives alone and is home most of the time.
He is very affectionate but resource guards his person. Would be fine with children visiting the home hes been great with my niece and nephew and my children’s friends, as well as other adult guests but he has snapped at my husband repeatedly and growled at our children for coming close to me. He also marks the house a lot although this may settle if he was neutered.
Experience with training small dog would be very beneficial. Our attempts have been unsuccessful but we’ve never trained an adult dog before. We really don’t want to return him to the council pound as he was very frightened there and would love to find him a home with someone who can give him the one on one attention he needs and deserves. We have all become very fond of him and it breaks our hearts to let him go but have no choice due to the snapping.
