Description
Our beautiful 1-year-old Belgian Shepherd x German Shepherd is looking for a loving, patient, and experienced new home where he can continue to grow and thrive.
He is a very affectionate, loyal, and protective young dog who can form a strong bond with his family. He absolutely loves spending time with the people he trusts and can be very loving once he feels comfortable around you. However, he can be cautious when meeting new people and will need time, patience, and reassurance to warm up to his new family. We are looking for someone who understands that he may not immediately settle in and who is willing to give him the space and time he needs to build trust.
He is a very high-energy dog and will need an active home that can provide him with plenty of daily exercise, stimulation, playtime, and attention. A secure garden would be ideal, alongside someone who has the time and commitment to keep him physically and mentally stimulated. He would suit someone who enjoys long walks, training, enrichment activities, and spending lots of time with their dog.
Due to his previous circumstances, he unfortunately did not receive the consistent training and guidance he needed from his previous owners. Because of this, his new owner will need to be prepared to continue his training and work on basic obedience, manners, recall, boundaries, and socialisation. He is an intelligent breed mix with plenty of potential, but he needs someone who is willing to put the time and effort into helping him become the best dog he can be.
He can be protective of the people he bonds with, which is something his new owner will need to understand and manage responsibly. Consistent, positive training and clear boundaries will be very important for him. He would benefit from an experienced owner who understands Belgian Shepherds, German Shepherds, or other energetic working breeds and appreciates the level of commitment they require.
He is still only 1 year old, so he is very much a young dog who is learning and developing. With the right home, routine, patience, training, and plenty of love, he has the potential to make a wonderful and extremely loyal companion.
This is not a dog who should be taken on as a casual pet without considering his needs. He requires an owner who has the time, patience, confidence, and commitment to work with him. His ideal home will understand that settling into a new environment may take time and that building a relationship with him will be a process.
We want to find him a home that is genuinely suitable for him rather than simply the first person interested. His new family must be prepared to give him the exercise, training, structure, affection, and patience he needs.
If you feel you could provide him with the right home, please get in touch and tell us a little about yourself, your experience with dogs, your home environment, and what you can offer him. We want his next home to be his forever home, where he can feel safe, loved, understood, and given the opportunity to reach his full potential.
