Description

❤️🐶 MILO (PATTERDALE) – A SWEET, CUDDLY COMPANION BEST AS THE ONLY DOG 🐶❤️ 🇬🇧🐾 UK SURRENDER – LOOKING FOR FOREVER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME 🏠 📍 Currently located: Runcorn, Cheshire WA7 🌟 Adoption Fee reduced to support prompt rehoming, RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks ******************Plan insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟 ⚠️ Please note: When enquiring, kindly mention “Milo Patterdale”, as we have another dog named Milo in rescue and want to avoid any confusion. 💔 This is a very difficult decision made out of care, not convenience. Milo is a much-loved dog who has been part of his family for years. But as time has passed, his behaviour towards the other dog in the home has changed, and the situation has become increasingly difficult and worrying. His family is doing everything they can to keep everyone safe — but they know now that Milo needs a different environment to truly feel settled and secure. 🐾 Meet Milo (Patterdale) Milo is a 6-year-old Patterdale Terrier, small but solid at around 15 kg. He is affectionate, loyal and loves human company — a proper little companion who enjoys being close and feeling part of the home. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Upper-Small, solid (approx. 15 kg) • NEUTERED: Yes • CHARACTER: Affectionate • Loyal • Social • Loving • Confident • DOGS: Social outside, but not suitable to live with other dogs due to food guarding • CATS: Not tested, better no • CHILDREN: Used to visiting grandchildren, but best in calm, managed environment, adult home or older children 12+ 💔 Surrender Background: Milo has lived with his family for around 5 years, sharing his home with another older male dog. Over time, his behaviour towards the resident dog has become worse, and there have been incidents where he has gone for him for food. Unfortunately, that’s not a rare case when two male dogs live together, especially when one becomes older and weaker. This has created a stressful and worrying environment, especially with grandchildren visiting regularly. Despite being a lovely, friendly dog with people, Milo is no longer safe or comfortable living with 11 years old smaller dog full-time. His family has made the hard decision to find him a home where he can be the only pet and not feel the need to compete or defend. 🐾 More About Milo Milo is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to snuggle up and be close to his humans. He enjoys comfort and routine, and when left alone for a few hours, he settles well in his crate, often burying himself in his blanket and resting calmly. He is good on walks and enjoys socialising with other dogs outside of the home environment. However, inside the home, particularly around food or shared space, he can become territorial and defensive with other dog. He may pull little bit on the lead when excited, but overall, he is easy manageable and enjoys getting out and about. He can bark when people come to the door or when he hears activity outside, showing his alert and protective nature. Milo has never shown aggression towards people and is generally friendly and social. 🏡 Ideal Home Milo needs a home where he will be the only pet. He would suit a calm, structured household where he can enjoy companionship, routine and clear boundaries without the stress of living alongside another dog. He would do best with someone who understands terrier traits — confident, loving but sometimes opinionated — and can provide consistency and calm structure. 💞 Milo is not a “problem dog.” He is a dog who needs the right environment to feel secure. Give him that, and you will have a loving, loyal companion by your side. ❤️ 🩺 Health Information Milo is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has a condition called dry eye, which will require ongoing management. 💌 If you can offer foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: 🔗 Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
