Mio is a genuinely kind, safe, and utterly reliable mare who is worth her weight in gold. A solid weight carrier with plenty of bone, she would suit absolutely anyone from a complete novice to a more nervous rider wanting something they can truly trust to even an established rider that just wants fun with their trusty steed
She has three balanced, steady paces in the school and is straightforward and forgiving to ride. She will happily pop a fence and give a nice clear round, but her real strength is her calm, unflappable nature rather than speed – she is all about looking after her rider.
Out hacking, Mio is exceptional. Completely bombproof in traffic, open spaces, and new environments, she takes everything in her stride without fuss or silliness. She is the type you can put your nan on and know she will look after her every step of the way and bring her home safely – she simply doesn’t put a foot wrong.
She has a true “been there, done it all” attitude and has seen it all many times over, making her incredibly dependable in any situation.
On the ground, she is just as easy – super sweet, gentle, and mannerly. She is not mareish in the slightest, easy to catch, handle, load, and do in all ways. Happy to live in or out and fits easily into any routine.
