Elegant, affectionate and wonderfully well-mannered, JET is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart without even trying… 🐾
This handsome older Lurcher boy has already been through uncertainty in life, after being seized by the local authorities and eventually surrendered into our care. Despite everything, JET has remained one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you could ever hope to meet. 💔➡️❤️
At around 30Kg, JET is a tall, graceful boy with the classic Lurcher elegance — long legs, soulful eyes and that beautiful sugar-grey face that tells the story of a life lived with dignity. We honestly cannot understand how such a lovely dog ended up needing rescue.
✨ What we can tell you with certainty is this:
JET is an absolute gentleman.
He is:
🐶 Very affectionate and loving
🐶 Calm, gentle and beautifully behaved
🐶 Friendly with people and other dogs
🐶 House-trained
🐶 Excellent on the lead
🐶 Clever and responsive to commands
🐶 Clean and respectful in the home
🐶 Happy to relax quietly beside you after a nice walk
JET is not demanding or chaotic — he simply wants kindness, comfort and somebody to love him properly for the rest of his days. 🛋️❤️
Like many Lurchers, he enjoys his walks and little adventures, but he is equally content curling up somewhere warm afterwards. He has that lovely balance of being playful outdoors, yet calm and settled indoors.
Although we cannot cat-test him, we would prefer a cat-free home due to his breed mix and natural instincts.
We believe JET would suit:
🏡 A calm, loving home
🏡 Somebody experienced with sighthounds/lurchers (ideal but not essential)
🏡 A family with older children only (10+)
🏡 People wanting a loyal companion rather than a high-maintenance dog
🏡 A home with a secure garden for him to safely enjoy the sunshine ☀️
JET is microchipped and vaccinated. He will require a booster vaccine and his adopter must agree to have him neutered.
Honestly… dogs like JET are incredibly special. Senior dogs are often overlooked, yet they give the deepest love of all. He deserves somebody who sees beyond the grey muzzle and recognises the beautiful soul underneath. 🖤
🐾 JET’s Ideal Home
JET would love a peaceful home where he can finally relax and feel secure. He does not need endless excitement — just love, companionship, gentle walks and a comfy bed.
A secure private garden is essential.
He could happily live as an only dog or potentially with another calm, friendly dog following sensible introductions.
He would not suit:
❌ Homes with cats
❌ Very young children
❌ Extremely busy or chaotic households

🐾 You will provide proper veterinary care, love and stability
🐾 You will contact us immediately if circumstances ever change
🐾 You will NEVER pass him on privately or send him elsewhere without contacting us first
🐾 You will keep in touch and send occasional updates/photos 🥰

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
