🧡 Milo – Gentle, Sensitive Boy Looking for a Calm Forever Home (Fostered in Kent)
Meet Milo, a truly special boy currently in foster in Kent after arriving through Santerpaws. Santerpaws are a small, dedicated rescue who work tirelessly to help dogs in need find safety and a second chance at life, often stepping in when animals have found themselves displaced or overwhelmed.
When Milo first came into rescue, he was extremely nervous—having been suddenly uprooted from his home, even something as simple as darkness frightened him. But despite everything he had been through, within minutes he was leaning in for a fuss. That’s Milo in a nutshell: a sensitive soul with so much love to give.
Over the past few months, Milo has made incredible progress at his own pace. It took him around three months to feel brave enough to choose to leave the house—and now he is even enjoying gentle walks. With other dogs around, he can sometimes get a little overconfident, so we are continuing to support him with his social skills, which are improving nicely. When he’s on his own, Milo is quiet, gentle, and reserved.
Milo isn’t driven by food or treats, preferring instead to observe, take his time, and build trust naturally. He does things on his own terms, and when he chooses you, it feels incredibly special.
In terms of other animals, Milo has an okay relationship with confident female cats, but he does not get along with the resident male cat—this appears to be more of a personality clash than a general issue.
Milo would thrive in a calm, patient home with understanding adopters who will give him the time and space he needs to continue building his confidence. He isn’t a dog who will rush into things, but in return, you’ll gain a deeply loyal companion who offers the gentlest affection and sweetest bond.
