Description
Pug x Jack Russell 13 mths old, high prey drive so won't be good around small furries, but may get used to a slow-moving savvy cat.
Wants to play with other dogs but wasn't socialised when sold to me by original owner a few months ago, so he needs some ongoing training there.
Walks nice now, knows a lot of commands, house clean, no injuries or illnesses, no nose surgery needed for airways. SLeeps on my bed with me and woken up like clockwork with kisses and a full body wag. WIll also happily sleep in crate
Not good around small screamy children as it gets him overwhelmed.
A sudden change in my circumstances mean I need to rehome the little man.
No guarding issues or biting, eats well -will move mountains for boiled chicken!-and loves his puzzle toys-very clever boy.
He is nervous when he meets new people in the house and will bark a bit with excitement but he settles very quickly and he is in the adolescent phase so this will also be affecting him. Otherwise really well behaved, not destructive/aggressive etc.
Could live with a large dog as he gets less hectic on walks if a larger calm dog meets him and he seems to gain a bit of confidence when the larger dog is walking in front-but-you will need to have experience of safely meeting a new dog with your own well-behaved dog.
Jakey is not suitable for a first-time owner as he needs ongoing positive association training to help him feel calmer and not scared of the outside world and strange dogs.
A joy to have in the home and super loving and cuddly, he seemed to have mild seperation anxiety but will now happily not velcro dog me 24/7 and has learned I will return if I go outside for 20 minutes so he doesn't panic, and just sits at the door to wait for me to come in.
I have been helping him get calm and he will self-settle now, in the oddest of shapes, ha!, rather than his previous way of trying to go all day playing and not stop.
He has lots of equipment, food and toys/feeding puzzles, natural chews, kongs etc that are included in his price.
He is a super fast learner, even being a teenager!
Registered with a vet and no health issues-all jabs up to date. Already chipped and neutered. Not sure if he has ever been left alone all day as previous owner didn't work, and I am retired. Will suit someone around most of the day for a long while to help him build up to feeling safe on his own.
