Description
Our family pet Medaka, mother Isla and father Mylo, have recently given us a beautiful bundle of fry to share with fellow Medaka lovers.
All fish are Dalmatian x Kohaku Medaka crosses.
The mother is a Dalmatian Medaka and the father is a Kohaku Medaka.
The fry are currently 3 weeks old and will be ready for their new homes in around 2 weeks. Colours and patterns are still developing, so each fish may change slightly as they mature, making every group unique.
They are mainly mid-water swimmers and are well known for being able to live in natural ecosystem-style setups, including tanks with minimal equipment. In established environments, Medaka can survive without filters or air stones.
For young fry during the first few months, a filtered and gently aerated setup is strongly recommended so they can grow properly, thrive, and build up their immunity while young.
(Buyers are responsible for checking their local laws and regulations before keeping Medaka in outdoor ponds or open water setups, as rules regarding non-native species may vary by area.)
Each group purchased (whether 4, 6, or more) will also receive a small adoption certificate as a special touch from our family to yours.
