Description

Some friendships are made by chance. Others are forged through survival. Zazu and Teo found each other after both overcoming more than any young cat should ever have to endure. Zazu was rescued at just 5mths old, suffering from a severe mouth infection and the effects of neglect that left both physical and emotional scars. A few months later, tiny Teo arrived in our care after being found alone outside one of our rescuer's homes with a painful burn to his paw. Both boys were anaemic, frightened, and in desperate need of kindness, patience, and time to heal. Somewhere along the way, they found exactly what they needed in each other. From the moment they met, Zazu took Teo under his wing. He became his protector, playmate, and constant source of reassurance - grooming him, wrestling with him, curling up beside him, and quietly helping him discover that the world could be a safe place after all. Their friendship has grown into a truly special bond, built on trust, comfort, and unconditional companionship. Both boys have gentle, sensitive personalities and are looking for a calm, understanding home where they can continue to grow in confidence together. They aren't the type of cats who will leap into your lap on the first day. Instead, they're the kind who quietly blossom over time, rewarding patience with a bond that feels incredibly special. Zazu (approx DOB Sept 2024) is the more confident of the pair. Curious, quirky, and wonderfully chatty, he's never far from the food bowl and quickly reveals his affectionate side once you've earned his trust. Treats are undoubtedly the quickest way to his heart. Teo (approx DOB March 2025) is the quieter, more sensitive soul. He takes his confidence from Zazu and looks to him for reassurance whenever he's unsure. Gentle, thoughtful, and playful once he feels safe, Teo simply needs a little extra time and understanding to let his personality shine. The busy environment of rescue life isn't where these boys will truly flourish. They deserve the chance to settle into a peaceful home where they can finally relax, feel secure, and continue growing together. Keeping them safe indoors protects them from road accidents, injuries, contagious illnesses, and territorial fights—while also helping to preserve local wildlife.
