Meet Jewel – A Shy Sparkle with a Heart of Gold
Jewel’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She came to us from a shelter in Romania, and understandably, the world felt like a very big and scary place at first. When she arrived, Jewel was nervous and unsure – keeping her distance as she tried to make sense of her new surroundings. But with time, patience, and kindness, we’ve seen her blossom into the sweet, affectionate girl she truly is.
Now, Jewel shows us more of her personality every day – she’s bouncy, cuddly, and full of love for the people she trusts. While she still takes time to build confidence in new situations and with new people, her progress has been heartwarming to witness, and she continues to grow braver with every step.
Jewel can be selective with other dogs. Because of this, we’re ideally looking for a home where she can be the only pet. However, we’re open to her living with another dog if we felt it could be the right match.
Jewel is searching for a patient, adult-only home, where she can continue to gain confidence at her own pace. Her ideal family will understand that love and trust take time, and will be willing to walk alongside her as she learns to feel safe and secure.
