Description

After a great deal of thought & heartbreak, we have made the very difficult decision to rehome our beautiful and loving Peach due to a change in our family circumstances and a growing realisation that we can no longer provide the environment she needs to thrive. We have a young child with significant additional needs and are expecting a baby in December, and as our family circumstances have evolved, we have had to be realistic about the time, consistency and management that Peach requires. Peach is a such a wonderful, affectionate dog in the home, and this decision has been made purely because we believe she would have a better quality of life in a home better suited to her temperament and ongoing training needs. We were very prepared for the needs of a Collie/Kelpie (as we've had one previously), however Peach has more specific needs in relation to reactivity on a short lead that we cannot realistically manage alongside everything else with our young family. Peach has responded incredibly well to all the obedience training we have been doing with her, and is so intelligent and picks these things up quickly. She's very well trained in the house (fully toilet and crate trained) and is very loving, playful and settles easily in the home. She is brilliant with our 5 year old daughter and other friend's kids. She is amazing on the long lead in walks in the fields near our home and on the beach/in the woods etc. However on the short lead she is very reactive and needs someone who has the time and capacity to do further training and management of this so that Peach can reach her best potential! We are so heartbroken to have had to get to this stage with Peach, however we need to do what is best for our families needs. Any questions, please ask!
