💔 Freya has done absolutely nothing wrong.
She has lived with her owner since she was just 8 weeks old and has grown into exactly what you would expect from a young Labrador x Rottweiler cross—strong, energetic, playful and full of life.
Sadly, her owner is now 79 years old, and as Freya has grown, she has simply become too powerful for him to manage safely. She has accidentally pulled him over on walks several times, and although he loves her dearly, he has made the heartbreaking decision to ask us to find her a home better suited to her needs.
🐾 Meet Freya
Freya is an 11-month-old Red Fox Labrador x Rottweiler girl with a wonderful temperament and a huge love for life. She adores people, loves other dogs and wakes up every day ready to play, explore and make new friends.
✨ Highlights ✨
• SIZE: Large (approx. 30 kg)
• SPAYED: No (will be arranged by Paws Help)
• CHARACTER: Loving • Friendly • Playful • Social • Full of enthusiasm
• DOGS: Loves other dogs
• CATS: Unknown
• CHILDREN: Has been around children and is friendly, best with older dog-savvy children due to her size and enthusiasm
🐾 More About Freya
Freya is still very much an adolescent. She has all the excitement, energy and curiosity that come with being a young working cross and simply hasn't realised how big and strong she has become.
She loves people, enjoys canine company and always wants to be involved in whatever is happening around her. She has very little downtime and would happily spend the day playing if someone was willing to join in.
She is house-trained and lives happily in the home. On walks she pulls on the lead and her recall is still a work in progress, so she will benefit from ongoing positive training and an owner committed to helping her mature into the incredible adult dog she has every potential to become.
🏡 Ideal Home
Freya is looking for an active family who enjoy life with energetic dogs.
She would thrive with people who love long walks, adventures, training and interactive play. Previous experience with Labradors, Rottweilers or other active large breeds would be beneficial, but what matters most is having the time, commitment and enthusiasm to meet the needs of a young dog.
She could happily live with another friendly dog and would love a secure garden where she can burn off some of her endless puppy energy.
💞 Freya isn't "too much." She's simply too much dog for an elderly gentleman. For the right family, she'll be exactly the fun-loving, loyal and affectionate companion they've been searching for.
🩺 Health Information
Freya has no known medical conditions. She is house-trained and has received her puppy vaccinations but is due her boosters. She will be spayed by Paws Help before adoption.
