Lira is around 1.5 years old, a lower-medium (below or to the knee) girl with a wonderfully gentle, affectionate nature. She can be shy initially, but it is a soft, submissive shyness, not a fear or defensiveness — underneath it is a curious young dog who genuinely wants to make friends. ❤️

• CHARACTER: Gentle • Affectionate • Curious • Playful • Soft-natured

💔 Rescue Story
Lira shares her story with Loki. They lived with other dogs at an industrial site until the business was sold and the dogs could no longer stay.
Volunteers stepped in and divided the dogs between different foster homes. Lira is now safe at multi-dog foster, but she lives in an outdoor enclosure and is still waiting for a real home of her own.
🐾 More About Lira
I met Lira myself in Ukraine. Initially she was shy, but clearly interested in making contact. All I needed to do was sit down and offer gentle strokes — soon she was leaning into me for affection. ❤️
She approaches people quietly and waits to be stroked rather than demanding attention. She is particularly happy when children visit.
And with other dogs, her playful side really comes alive! Lira loves running around with canine friends, playing silly games and carrying ropes and sticks. She is friendly with everyone and curious about everything.
Her lead confidence still needs some work. Her foster has promised to increase her lead walks before travel, her future family should be prepared to continue building that confidence patiently, this is why a private secure garden is essential for settlement period. She will definitely get used to enjoy walks, especially on nature; it will just take 2-3 more weeks then usually with other dogs and a start on a secure dog field (actually very recommended for any new dog).
🏡 Ideal Home
Lira needs a home with a secure grassy garden where she can initially explore and settle without pressure.
We strongly prefer another friendly, confident and playful resident dog, who will help her to settle much faster. Lira loves canine company, but importantly, that dog could also become her guide — showing her that unfamiliar places, people and experiences in her new world are safe.
A quieter area and a dogs loving family who won't expect pre-programmed to their needs dog and won’t rush her would suit this tender girl beautifully.
💞 Lira is soft-hearted, affectionate and full of curiosity. Give her a little time, a kind hand and ideally a good canine friend beside her, and we think that initially shy girl will very quickly show you just how much joy she has inside. ❤️
🩺 Health Information
Lira is fully healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
