This is Moxie, a Chihuahua who is incredibly loved and very much a part of our family. This is an extremely difficult decision, but I have come to realise that loving her also means putting her wellbeing first and finding her a home where she can feel completely safe and settled. Moxie needs to be the only dog in the household. Unfortunately, she does not get along with other dogs, and there have been a couple of incidents involving our other dog. We have been keeping them completely separated, but this is not the life I want for Moxie. She deserves a home where she doesn't feel on edge and where she can relax without having to share her space with another dog. When it comes to people, Moxie is a completely different story! She absolutely loves humans and human attention. She is very affectionate and would happily spend her day getting cuddles, sitting beside you on the sofa and being the centre of your world. She is a typical Chihuahua with a big personality in a little body, and she loves nothing more than being close to her person. Because finding the right home for Moxie is so important to me, I would want to meet any potential adopter at their home before agreeing to the rehoming. This isn't about judging anyone; I simply want to make sure her new environment is somewhere she will be happy, comfortable and safe. This is not a decision we are making lightly. Moxie is deeply loved, and rehoming her is heartbreaking. But sometimes loving an animal means recognising when another environment would give them a better quality of life. My biggest priority is finding her a permanent, loving home where she can be happy and feel safe.
