Golden Retriever × Irish Setter Puppies!!
Healthy, Loving & Full of Character
We have five male and five female puppies available from our Golden Retriever × Irish Setter pairing.
Both mum (Orla) and dad (Angus) live with us and can be seen with the puppies.
They are healthy, well-cared-for dogs with fantastic temperaments - very friendly, affectionate, and great with people and children.
This cross produces dogs that are:
Highly intelligent
Very energetic and playful
Extremely people-oriented and loving
Confident, social, and full of personality
Compared to a typical Golden Retriever, these dogs tend to be a little more headstrong, with a higher prey drive and more independence coming through from the Irish Setter side. Because of this, they do best in active homes where they’ll receive proper exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training.
Both parents show natural instinct and enthusiasm for training. While they are not fully trained working gundogs, they have been introduced to basic retrieving and flushing-style exercises and clearly show the potential to develop further for anyone interested. That said, they are equally suited to being excellent family pets, and will thrive as companions in the right environment.
The puppies are being raised in our living room, not kennels or outbuildings. They are part of everyday household life from the start — exposed to normal noises, people coming and going, handling, and interaction — helping them develop into confident, well-adjusted dogs.
I’m a professional dog trainer, so a lot of care and intention has gone into how these puppies are raised. The focus has been on early confidence, calm behaviour, curiosity, and positive engagement with people.
