Description
Due to ongoing ill health and regular hospital treatment, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to re-home our beautiful 10-year-old Hermann’s tortoise, Biggie.
Biggie is a happy, friendly little character who loves people and exploring. He’ll always wander over when he hears voices and enjoys a gentle chin or shell rub!
He is microchipped and fully registered, and all paperwork will be provided.
We’re looking for an experienced, knowledgeable home where he’ll have plenty of space and time. Like any pet, a tortoise is a lifelong commitment.
Biggie needs a large enclosure with outdoor access and constant heat lamp provision, he doesn’t like small, confined spaces and loves room to explore.
We can provide his temporary indoor table, heat lamp, water bottle and food bowl for short-term use only (not suitable as a permanent setup). We would like to see the enclosure he’ll be moving to.
Biggie has been successfully fridge-hibernated for the past three years, which has worked very well for monitoring him safely.
