💛 About Muffin
Muffin is a sweet, gentle girl who has settled in foster care with us incredibly well and is already showing her lovely personality every day
In the mornings she greets us with a waggy tail, soft eyes and little nudges for affection, sometimes with a few excited bounces which are so sweet to see.
She absolutely loves a fuss once she feels comfortable, she’s a proper snuggly girl who enjoys sitting right next to you on the sofa. She’s also an avid snorer, which just adds to her charm 🥹

Muffin is a lovely mix of gentle and playful she enjoys her quiet time but is also starting to show her fun, cheeky personality more each day. She’s recently taken up flinging her self about in the garden (like a gymnast 😂)

Muffin has a really nice level of independence too. She is happy to take herself off for naps, whether that’s sunbathing in the conservatory, snoozing on the sofa or watching the world go by from the window. She really appreciates the comforts of home life and a peaceful environment.
She is currently a little on the “larger than life” side 😆 so we will be working on gentle exercise (when she’s ready to walk outside) and routine to help her get back to a healthy weight.
She is a resilient dog and settles well snoozing the day away. She can be a little unsure at times, but she is quick to shake things off and move forward, which is a really positive trait (like a little sigh to release tension).
She has already built a lovely bond with Ella and is showing that she is capable of trusting and enjoying human love and fuss.
Muffin can take a little longer to warm up to men, so her new home will need to be understanding of this and allow her to build that trust at her own pace, this is likely from trauma from her past 💔
She enjoys food (she’s a bit of a meat lover!) although she can be slightly fussy at times, so we are still learning what she likes best. She has a cheeky side to her and is always nearby in the kitchen just in case something drops!

Muffin is currently living with other dogs and is super comfortable around them
She enjoys their company, gains confidence from them and will bounce off their energy in a gentle, playful way. At the same time, she is also quite independent and happy doing her own thing.
A calm resident dog could be a really nice influence for her, but is not essential.

📖 Her story
Muffin was taken into a horrid shelter in Macedonia where conditions were extremely poor. She was kept alongside a large number of other dogs with limited access to food, water and proper care.
She was later rescued by Happy Shelter along with many other dogs and has since made her way to the UK, where she is now settling into foster care and beginning to enjoy the comforts of a safe and loving home.
Despite her past, she has shown herself to be a gentle, affectionate and resilient dog who is already embracing home life!
