💙🐶 MAX (BENNY) – FROM FRONTLINE SURVIVOR TO YOUR SHADOW 🐶💙 🇬🇧🐾 UK BASED: URGENT COMMITTED AND CONFIDENT FOSTER NEEDED 🏠 📍 Currently located: Shrewsbury SY4 🌟 When adopted RBU, post-adoption support, 4 weeks free insurance & ONE MONTH OF ONLINE TRAINING/COACHING WITH PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOURIST FOR COMMITTED ADOPTIVE FAMILY 🌟 Fostering is FREE. Here shown his adoption fee. 🔄 Update Max (previously Benny) arrived in the UK two months ago and was adopted into what was meant to be his forever home. He is now 14 months old. He came into the home timid and overwhelmed after such a huge change in his life. His whole world had turned upside down — from a quiet rural life surrounded by dogs and familiar routines to a completely new environment. His family welcomed him with patience and kindness. Max bonded with them incredibly quickly — by the very next day he was already seeking closeness, cuddling and attaching deeply. Encouraged by this progress, they began introducing him to the outside world. Max showed amazing progress — from unsure first walks in secure fields to exploring new places. In 6 weeks after his arrival he visited castles and many new places, in 8 weeks he had a large trip with the family, where he visited many places like deer park, mountains, the coast, etc. Family was amazed how quick he is learning, easy to train, how deeply he bonds and what the awesome bright boy he is. The pace of introducing Max to more and more new experiences gradually increased, encouraged by his early progress. However, at some point, it became too much for his sensitive nature. With too many new people, places and situations in a relatively short time, Max began to feel overwhelmed, and his reactivity started to increase both on walks and towards visitors in the home. Eventually, when one of these reactions recently escalated during a close encounter with a passer-by, the family felt they had reached a point where they made the decision that Max would be better suited to a different home. We offered full support, including covering a month of work with a fully qualified behaviourist specialising in reactivity, but this was declined. The family feel Max would be much better suited to more predictable world, a calmer environment with consistent routine and structure, as their active lifestyle and lot of travelling are not what he needs. Max just still trusts his people so much. He doesn't know they already refused him. We simply can't let down him again and look for confident foster, who will help Max to regain peace and trust. 🐾 Meet Max 🐶 Max is a 14-month-old medium-sized boy, with a deeply gentle, loyal and sensitive nature. He forms strong bonds and becomes your shadow, always wanting to be close to his people. Family did DNA test for Max and is detect that Max doesn’t have any known genetic health predispositions (zero out of 264) and is all clear for 30 genetic conditions that could impact his early vet visits (such as drug sensitivity, immune deficiency, bleeding disorders, etc).. Also that he has 23 breeds in with majority, around 50% of all kind of Shepherds all other the world. ✨ Highlights ✨ * SIZE: Medium (approx. 52 cm / 18 kg) * SPAYED/NEUTERED: Yes * CHARACTER: Gentle • Devoted • Loyal • Affectionate • Sensitive * DOGS: Grew up with dogs, generally social * CATS: Not tested * CHILDREN: Adult-only home recommended 💔 Rescue Story Max’s life began in the chaos of war. He and his siblings were found in a разрушенный home near the frontline after their mother was killed by shrapnel. A soldier took them in, caring for them in the trenches until help could arrive. A volunteer risked everything to bring them to safety, giving Max a second chance at life. Despite such a traumatic beginning, he has grown into a kind, loving and gentle dog who still trusts people deeply. 🐕 More About Max Max is incredibly loving with his people — once he bonds, he gives his whole heart. He becomes your constant companion, following you from room to room and always wanting to be close. At home, he is calm, settled and affectionate. He loves cuddles, enjoys his toys and is not destructive. He has a lovely balance of playful energy outside and calm companionship indoors. He enjoys his walks and, when feeling secure, walks well on the long lead and adores secure fields off leash. He also has good recall in safe environments and enjoys exploring. Max’s challenges come from his sensitivity to unfamiliar people. He can react when people approach too closely on walks or when visitors enter the home, especially if he feels unsure or overwhelmed. He is perfect with his own people but currently finds it difficult to trust strangers, which means he would not cope with busy homes, frequent visitors or being left with sitters. 🏡 Ideal Home Max needs a calm, experienced home with people who understand sensitive rescue dogs and are committed to slow, structured socialisation. Hose with a garden in rural or semi-rural environment. A quiet, adult-only household with minimal visitors is essential until his confidence and trust will be trained. He would suit someone with a stable lifestyle, ideally home-based, who can provide routine, patience and emotional security. He needs time to decompress and rebuild confidence at his own pace — not a busy or constantly changing environment. 💙 Max is a deeply loyal, sensitive boy who has already overcome so much. In the right home, with patience and understanding and continued training, he will be the most devoted companion you could ever wish for. 🩺 Health Information Max is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is fully healthy and DNA test confirmed they didn’t detect any known genetic health predispositions in Max’s DNA (Zero out of 264).. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners receive a licensed laboratory test certificate). Please message with details if you can foster or foster-to-adopt Max.
