Clover – 16.2hh | 6-year-old Bright Bay Irish Sport Horse Mare.
Clover is a striking Irish Sport Horse mare with an exceptional temperament and a genuine willingness to please. She is good to shoe, box, clip and bath, with no vices or blemishes. She is good to load in a trailer or wagon.
She has good manners in the stable and comes to call in the field.
She does have a small flat sarcoid, which is improving with the help of cream.
She offers three correct, balanced paces on the flat and is a powerful. She does do flying changes and have been schooled to a high standard, she does need her rider to fulfill her talent.
Cross-country is where Clover really comes into her own – she knows exactly what she needs to do and absolutely loves her job. She is confident and straightforward in open spaces, not strong or silly, just a genuine, powerful mare who is great fun to ride.
Clover has previously competed successfully up to 1.20m level, including at Blue Chip, where she achieved an impressive 3rd place out of 136 competitors. She has also been placed at Hickstead, further demonstrating her ability and talent to perform at a high level.
Unfortunately, showjumping is not my discipline, and I feel I have been unable to do this exceptional mare full justice. I have no doubt she has the ability to return to this level with the right rider, and I believe her potential is currently being wasted
she also enjoys hacking and exploring. She is happy to hack both in company and alone, although she can be sharp but safe when out on her own and therefore benefits from a confident, capable rider.
She has previously hunted and is a bold, genuine mare who would happily continue to pop hedges in the right home.
Clover is not suitable for a novice rider and will only be sold to a knowledgeable, competent home capable of further developing her talent. She deserves a home where she can continue to progress and fulfil her considerable potential.
