Description

After the loss of my heart horse of 13 yrs, a cob x trotter, I bought this very handsome boy who was newly backed. My intention was to participate in endurance and join riding club with him. At the same time I bought a Clydesdale x un-backed for my son who had out grown his pony. I have realised I have completely over horsed myself and I am far more confident riding my Clydesdale x now that he is backed, and my son has given up riding. Oakley, is the kindest, bravest sweetest boy on the ground as you can see. He is also very brave in the saddle when in regular work, however I have made the mistake of not considering the amount of work a green athletic horse requires, naivety on my part! He is now not being ridden at all as I have felt happier on my Clydesdale x, and he is wasted as a field ornament. He needs to go to an experienced home where he can be restarted and produced into the magnificent boy he is capable of being and living the life he was bred to enjoy. He is great with farrier, clipping, vet and loading. Up to date with Vacs’s , teeth and worming Currently living out rugged in winter quite happily, however was stabled at previous home. 5* home only, with experience of athletic horses where he will be re-started and the mistake I have made will not be repeated for him. Sold from field as he is not currently in work. His height is approximately 16:2h
