Following a family separation, her owner has made the heartbreaking decision to ask for help because she can no longer give Daisy the time, companionship and attention she deserves. Rather than letting Daisy become lonely and unhappy, she wants to find her a family where she can truly thrive.
🐾 Meet Daisy
Daisy is a 4½-year-old medium-sized girl, believed to be a Beagle cross, possibly with Harrier Hound. She is affectionate, funny, incredibly clever and absolutely adores being close to her people. If she could be a lap dog, she definitely would!

💔 Surrender Story
Daisy has been a much-loved family member for years. Sadly, after a recent separation, her owner feels it is no longer fair to keep Daisy when she can't give her the attention and companionship she desperately craves.
Making this decision has not been easy, but sometimes loving a dog also means recognising when someone else may be able to give them the life they deserve.
🐾 More About Daisy
Daisy is one of those dogs who simply wants to be involved in everything you're doing. She loves cuddles, loves treats and enjoys being with her people.
She's house-trained, sleeps beautifully through the night in her crate, knows commands like sit and paw, enjoys daily walks and has recently been learning to gain confidence around water. Like many hounds, she's very scent-driven, so although her recall is improving, an interesting smell can still distract her!
She loves tug games, happily tolerates baths and is an incredibly bright girl. In fact... perhaps a little too bright! She has even worked out how to open the living room door when she fancies relaxing on the sofa. 😂
Daisy does have a few quirks. She may howl when left alone, although her owner isn't sure how often this happens, having only heard it from neighbours.
Around food she can become protective, giving warning growls if she feels uncomfortable. She has never bitten anyone, and this behaviour has been limited to food guarding. Like many dogs, she also doesn't appreciate being told off and may respond with a warning snap, so her new family should be willing to use kind, reward-based training, using swapping technique rather then just taking things away without offering something in exchange (“trade”). And again – she has never ever bitten anyone and clearly communicates with dog signals without need to go further.
🏡 Ideal Home
Daisy would love a family where someone has plenty of time for cuddles, adventures and being together.
A secure garden would be ideal, as would people who enjoy walks and understand hound noses! She could happily live with calm, friendly dogs or even cats, and would love a home where she isn't left alone for long periods every day. Someone who enjoys positive training and enrichment will get the very best from this wonderfully clever girl.
💞 Daisy isn't looking for perfection. She's simply looking for someone who'll give her the love, attention and companionship she's been missing... and in return, she'll reward them with endless affection, loyalty and plenty of smiles. ❤️
🩺 Health Information
Daisy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and in good health. The only medical note is mild seasonal alopecia, causing a little fur loss on her hips during the summer, which has never required treatment.
