Sadly we're looking to rehome this beautiful boy. He is lovely, affectionate and loves to be around you at all times. He's very smart but can be stubborn so he will need experienced owners to maintain his training. He was trained by previous owners to be a guard dog and was mostly kept in the garden but he has quickly adapted to living in a house. Naturally he has guarding instincts to keep strangers away but he is a gentle giant at heart. The reason we decided to rehome him is that we realised we are too inexperienced for his needs and our bungalow is too small for him. We walk him twice a day and play with him in the garden - he loves to play tag and tug of war with a rope toy, he also loves chewing toys but destroys them quickly. He's not well trained for public walking as he was not taken to public spaces however, he is getting better each day - he's fine with people but can sometimes be reactive to other dogs. Due to our working arrangements, we are not able to be home for most of the day so he experiences separation anxiety but if someone is home with him, he will sit with you and sleep most of the working day. He is well house/toilet trained and luckily doesn't destroy things or plants, but he will pick up random items when excited. Despite his size and strength, he is not aggressive at all and is just a big cuddly teddy bear who is seeking love and affection. He is fine with kids. Despite us trying our best each day we believe he deserves someone who is experienced with the breed/large dogs and who can dedicate lots of time to continue training him.
