Description
I've made the sad decision to re-home my Quaker, Mr Chips. I got him from a breeder and was told he was semi-tame and would eat from your hand and he would be easy to tame. Sadly this is not the case. He had a female he previously lived with and I believe he is really missing her and or company of another bird. He will finally eat from a dish if I'm holding it and he's allowed me to occasionally stroke him if he's up high, but he is definitely very nervous of humans and not really interested in making a bond. He is around 1 and a half. I'm heartbroken but I feel he would be happier with another bird or in an Avery with other birds. I just want him to be happy and I fear he is not. He can be quite noisy, doing squarks which sound very much like flock calls which leads me to believe he would be much happier with another bird or birds. He loves to free fly around my room, but as he doesn't like to be approached, he takes himself back into his house when he's ready. I only want the best for him. Open to reasonable offers for the right home
