Description
A much-loved young dog who needs one very special thing: someone who can truly be there for him.
This is not an easy rehoming post for us to write.
And it is certainly not an easy decision for the family who adore TITTO.
Titto is NOT being rehomed because he is unwanted. Quite the opposite - he is loved to bits.❤️
His family spoil him rotten. His toy collection is taking over the house 😂, he gets enormous lamb legs as treats, spends his evenings curled up with his people and has become a very loved member of their family.
But sometimes loving a dog also means recognising that the life you can realistically provide is not quite the life that particular dog needs.
And Titto needs people — rather more than most dogs do.
🐶 ABOUT TITTO
🎂 DOB: 15 July 2024
♂️ Male
🐕 Medium-sized crossbreed, around 18kg
❤️ Extremely affectionate and people-oriented
🐶 Friendly with other dogs
🎾 Playful, loving and fun
🏡 Currently living in a family home
Titto originally came into our care as a tiny puppy, rescued alongside his sisters Biscuit and Anika. There had originally been four puppies, but sadly only three were still alive when help reached them.
We found him what we believed would be his forever family.
And in so many ways, it has been a wonderful home.
Titto discovered everything a Rescue Dog deserves: comfort, security, toys, treats and, above all, love.
Unfortunately, as he grew up, one difficulty became increasingly important:
❤️🩹 TITTO HAS SEPARATION ANXIETY
Titto struggles with being left alone.
His current family are busy and, despite loving him enormously, cannot structure their lives around the amount of companionship he needs.
We absolutely do not want to move Titto only to discover months later that his next family faces exactly the same problem.
Therefore, please do not apply if Titto would routinely be left alone for long periods.
His ideal home would have someone around for much of the day — perhaps someone retired, working from home, a couple working different schedules, or simply a household whose lifestyle naturally means he has plenty of company.
This does NOT mean Titto can never learn to cope better alone. With patience, gradual training and, if necessary, behavioural support, he may improve considerably.
But his new family must adopt the Titto who exists TODAY, rather than assuming the problem will simply disappear.
🏡 THIS TIME, WE NEED THE RIGHT HOME
We aren't simply looking for a good home.
We need the RIGHT one.
Someone who reads “separation anxiety” and doesn't think:
“He'll just have to get used to being left.”
But instead:
“That's OK. My life can accommodate him, and we'll work on it together.”
Previous experience with separation anxiety or Rescue Dogs would be wonderful, but genuine commitment and the right lifestyle matter most.
Titto needs stability, routine, patience, company and somebody who considers their dog part of everyday life.
In return, there is an extraordinarily loving young dog waiting to give somebody his whole heart. ❤️
🐾 ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
🌳 Your own secure/private garden is compulsory.
👧 No children under 10.
🏠 Mandatory Home Check — sometimes possible online.
🐕 Family PET only — never for working, guarding, assistance, service or breeding purposes.
⏰ He must not routinely be left alone for long periods.
🤝 Adopters must remain in contact with us and accept our lifelong Rescue Back-Up.
💔 PLEASE DON'T BLAME HIS CURRENT FAMILY
We particularly want to say this because rehoming posts sometimes attract judgement.
Please don't.
His family love him. They haven't become bored with him and they haven't stopped caring.
When we told his owner that we knew how much she loved him, her answer was simply:
“More than anything!!”
And then:
“It’s unfortunate but I want to do best by him if it comes to it. He needs the life he deserves ❤️”
That says everything.
This isn't about getting rid of a problem.
It is about putting Titto's needs before their own feelings.
🚗 TITTO WILL GO FROM HOME TO HOME
We want his transition to be as gentle as possible.
Titto will go directly from his present family to his new family.
We don't want this much-loved boy unnecessarily returning to kennels or losing the experience of living in a home while he waits.
His present family also know the real Titto — his routine, habits, likes, quirks and needs — and can help make his transition easier.
🤝 OUR PROMISE
Titto was one of our Rescue Dogs before.
He remains one of our Rescue Dogs for LIFE.
We don't disappear after adoption. His new family will have our support, and we expect them to keep in touch with us for years to come.
🇬🇧 GB rehoming — transport available almost anywhere on the mainland.
🏴 Scotland transport available approximately once per month.
❤️ NO PAYMENT UNTIL YOU MEET.
📱 Phone or WhatsApp preferred.
❤️ THIS TIME, PLEASE LET IT BE FOREVER.
Titto has already known abandonment once, as a tiny puppy.
Then he discovered something wonderful:
what it feels like to belong to somebody.
He knows sofas now.
He knows evenings beside his person.
He knows toys — apparently far too many of them. 😂
He knows ridiculously smelly lamb legs.
And, most importantly, he knows what it is to be loved.
We cannot promise that Titto will be the easiest dog you've ever owned. Separation anxiety requires understanding, patience and commitment.
But perhaps you're home most of the time anyway.
Perhaps you've dealt with separation anxiety before.
Perhaps you're retired or work from home.
Perhaps your dog accompanies you through most of your life.
Perhaps there is another friendly dog in your home and room in your heart for one more.
And perhaps, somewhere out there, is the person for whom Titto's greatest difficulty —
wanting desperately to be close to the people he loves —
is something they can accommodate.
Because Titto doesn't need another temporary chapter.
🐾❤️He needs the person who will write the rest of the book with him.❤️🐾
