It is with a very heavy heart that I offer my much-loved 15.2hh, 12-year-old skewbald cob gelding for sale. This is a genuine sale due to family commitments leaving me with very little time to give him the work and attention he deserves.
He is a kind, affectionate gelding who loves attention and is a pleasure to have around. He is easy to catch, groom, tack up and handle, with lovely manners on the ground. He has good, strong feet, stands well for the farrier and happily lives out.
Under saddle, he is a safe, sensible ride. He hacks confidently in company and is great in traffic, taking cars, lorries and everyday traffic in his stride. He has also been ridden independently by my 12 year old stepdaughter (who is very early stages in learning) under supervision and has always been an absolute gentleman with her.
He has a laid-back temperament and, if not kept in regular work, appreciates a positive rider to keep him motivated. He is happiest hacking with good company and enjoying life rather than being worked hard every day.
He has been part of our family for years and has happily spent time around my young children, making him a much-loved member of the family. His kind nature shines through whether he's being groomed, fussed over or simply enjoying attention in the field.
This is an incredibly difficult decision, so finding him the right home is far more important than a quick sale. He deserves someone who will enjoy him as much as we have.
