It will not let me put the link but its Starfish Dog Rescue in Stroud. Pixie is a 12-month-old Toy Poodle being fostered in Devon in an adult family home with other dogs and visiting grandchildren. Pixie came into our care due to sad personal circumstances. It is obvious that she has been a much-loved little dog. She is confident, happy and full of the joys of spring – exactly as a one-year-old dog should be. She settled into foster care almost immediately and has taken everything in her stride. She gets on well with the other dogs and, although she was initially a little barky with the bigger ones, it was simply because they were unfamiliar. It didn't take her long to realise they were friends, and she has happily become part of the gang. For such a young dog, Pixie has a lovely off-switch. After a busy day playing with her canine friends, exploring the woods on walks and enjoying her toys, she is more than happy to curl up on the sofa with her foster family and relax for the evening. Pixie is a bright, intelligent little dog and, like so many Toy Poodles, she is capable of so much more than simply being a lap dog. We are looking for an active home that will enjoy sharing adventures with her, whether that's hiking, scent work, agility, training classes with another dog would make it perfect for her to play with. She has a wonderful little brain that deserves to be used, and we think she would love to live with another playful dog who enjoys having fun as much as she does. We understand that Pixie is likely to be very popular. As with all our dogs, we are looking for the home that best matches her needs rather than simply the first application. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous rescue dog experience and understand the commitment involved in helping a young dog reach her full potential. Pixie has been health checked, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and is currently recovering from being spayed.
