Description

It is with a VERY heavy heart that we are forced to look for a new home for Nala. Nala is a 1 year old brindle greyhound, a soft and loving soul, cuddly and friendly. She came to us 6 months ago, underweight, timid and cowering after a poor start in life, but after lots of care and reassurance she is now a healthy, beautiful, bouncy and friendly dog. Unfortunately with our lives being so busy and Beckies recent health scare, as her confidence and size has increased our ability to keep up with her exercise and training is beginning to fall short. In our hectic household of 6 she doesn’t know if she’s coming or going, getting mixed signals and inconsistent company, and is forming bad habits that get her into trouble, and it’s not her fault. She has been fine around our other pets (1 dog and 1 cat) and when around older kids who understand staying calm around her she’s fine, but her size and lack of awareness means smaller children can get under her feet when she gets excited. She needs a calmer home with someone who has the time to put the work in to exercise her and train her out of her bad habits. When the house is empty she happily lays quietly cuddling and is so sweet, but when the kids play with her she gets a bit too bouncy and can cause issues. This is a very sad and difficult decision for us to make, but is made with Nalas best interests at heart. She is a lovely dog who will be an amazing companion to the right people/person.
