This is a really difficult post for me to write, but I’m looking to find a new home for my beautiful 8-month-old bearded dragon, Henry. I absolutely love him and this is not a decision I’ve made lightly. When I got Henry, I honestly underestimated how much knowledge and experience is needed to properly care for a bearded dragon. As I’ve never had a lizard before, I’ve found myself worrying that I’m not giving Henry everything he needs to be truly happy and thrive. Because I care about him so much, I feel the kindest thing I can do is find him a home with someone who is very experienced with bearded dragons and understands their care, behaviour, diet, lighting, heating and enrichment. Henry will come with his complete enclosure and all of his equipment, everything he currently has, free of charge. My only priority is finding the right person and a loving, knowledgeable home where he can have the happy life he deserves. ❤️ I’m not looking to simply give him away to anyone — I would really like to speak to anyone interested and make sure they have the experience and setup needed to care for him properly. This is genuinely heartbreaking for me, but I believe putting Henry’s happiness and wellbeing first is the right thing to do. 🥺❤️🦎
