Genetics & Expected Outcomes
When bred on average 50% of each litter will inherit the short-leg gene. Short leg kittens are guaranteed regardless of whether the female is a standard Persian or carrying the munchkin gene, as the short-leg trait is dominant.
For the highest quality outcomes, he should be paired with 100% Persian females.

Queen will be treated as an individual. I don’t charge per day like others. It’s just a fixed fee of £500 and however long she needs with him she will get.
Owner should bring supplies for up to a week stay with us. As soon as she is out of heat I will notify you and request her collection - this could be as short as 2 days, or as long as 7 but is usually between 3-5 days.
NOTE: Queen will be required to have full worming, oral flea treatment + VET check prior to arrival. This ensures the health of the Queen is optimal for pregnancy. I can do blood group check here at an extra charge of £50 complete with certificate. I would however advise you get a full DNA test done with wisdom panel prior to breeding your queen which includes blood type and also checks for numerous genetic health disorders.
IMPORTANT NOTE: During mating Limelight will hold the back of your queen’s neck in his mouth… It is very important your queen has no trace of flea/worm treatment on her neck.
LOCATION: Blundellsands, Liverpool, L238UP. Your queen will be welcomed into our family home and treated as our own for the duration of her stay. Keeping her comfortable, well fed & groomed. Stress will impair fertility. It is important to come prepared and bring along your queens familiar toys, bedding, litter tray and any comforting items for scent familiarity. Feliway diffuser will be provided to help with stress levels.
QUEENS FOOD: It is essential that Queen comes with a supply of her own food to avoid any gastrointestinal disturbances.
A SOLID STOOL IS ESSENTIAL TO AVOID INFECTION TO THE QUEEN DURING MATING.
PROOF OF MATING: Camera System always on and will record matings tracking progress made is important since cats need to induce ovulation with several matings before they release the eggs. The longer the stay the more matings possible and the bigger the litter in general. Ultrasound pregnancy scan can be done at 21days if you are local just ask and it will be arranged for you. Re-visit welcome if for any reason your queen fails to become pregnant although that would be an issue with the queen usually not the stud I am happy to accommodate or you are welcome to bring a different Queen should a 2nd mating fail. Scan at 21 days is essential to find this out if you are inexperienced in detecting changes yourself.
Ensuring your queen is in the correct stage of her heat cycle and fully receptive is critical for a successful mating. Cats are induced ovulators but they also require mating to be within a specific timing window to conceive.
