❤️🐶 NICOL – TIME IN KENNELS IS RUNNING OUT… AND SHE HAS NOWHERE TO GO 🐶❤️ 🏠 URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED 🏠 📍 Currently located: Boarding Kennels, Bude Cornwall 🌟 Adoption fee reduced. RBU, post-adoption support, 4 weeks free insurance & ONE MONTH OF ONLINE COACHING WITH PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOURIST FOR COMMITTED ADOPTIVE FAMILY 🌟 💔 Nicol is already in kennels for almost 3 months. And now her time there is running out too. We have been urgently asked to move her because long-standing bookings are arriving soon and her kennel space will be needed. But the worst part? There is nowhere else for her to go right now. And honestly, Nicol does not deserve to lose everything simply because nobody has stepped forward yet for a dog who needs a little more than just a sofa and quick sympathy. 🐾 Meet Nicol Nicol is around 3.5 years old, upper-medium in size, full of energy, intelligence and enormous love for life. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Upper-Medium (approx. 27 kg) • SPAYED: Yes • CHARACTER: Affectionate • Clever • Energetic • Loyal • Fun • Extremely people-oriented • DOGS: Good and social outside, but must be only pet at home due to strong food guarding around dogs • CATS: Not suitable • CHILDREN: Adult-only home 💔 Rescue Story Nicol’s life in Ukraine nearly ended before rescue even began. She was brought to a shelter on a rope, and when refused entry, the man threatened to throw her under a train. Volunteers stepped in just in time and saved her life. And despite such a horrific beginning, Nicol chose joy. She LOVES life. She LOVES people. She LOVES movement, games, adventure and connection. She is not shut down. Not broken. Not aggressive. She is simply a powerful, active, emotional dog who desperately needs the right outlet and guidance. 🐾 More About Nicol Nicol is genuinely a fantastic dog with people. Everyone in kennels describes her as affectionate, social and easy to love, but not always easy to handle due to easily excitable nature of someone strong, who loves to much (jumping, hugging and even mouthing sometimes out of excitement). She is trainable, very smart and responds quickly when given structure and consistency. She needs an ACTIVE person. Not occasional walks. Not “quick around the block.” She needs proper exploring walks, freedom to move, stimulation and outlets for her energy and excitement. At least one daily walk should ideally be around 1.5 hours on a long line (15–20 metres) in safe places like fields/woodland (not busy dog parks) or in a secure field where she can properly run, sniff, explore and decompress naturally. Alongside this she needs enrichment at home — kongs, licking mats, chew activities, training, engagement and interaction. But equally important is proper rest in a calm, quiet environment, because constant stimulation is just as unhealthy for her. Nicol needs what behaviourists call good structure — a balanced routine where physical and mental activity are combined with plenty of time to properly decompress, rest and switch off. When under- or over-stimulated, Nicol can become a bit boisterous, jump up and even mouthy trying to connect. But this is not aggression, a typical behaviour of a dog, who hasn’t learned yet how to apply her love correctly. And honestly? When her needs are met, she is SUCH a lovely dog. Balanced, affectionate, funny and deeply loyal. With dogs outside she is generally absolutely manageable and social AS LONG AS FOOD IS NOT INVOLVED. Management is simple and clear: no treats/food around other dogs, no approaching dogs receiving treats, calm structured walks and handling. That’s it. 🏡 Ideal Home • Experienced or naturally confident handlers comfortable with large active breeds • No other pets • Secure garden • Active lifestyle • People willing to provide proper physical and mental stimulation along with calm/rest hours • Someone emotionally resilient who won’t panic when she becomes overexcited • Someone who sees potential instead of only intensity She is NOT a bad dog. She is NOT dangerous. She is NOT unmanageable. She is simply a strong, intelligent, active dog who has not yet met the people willing to fully invest in her. 💞 And if someone finally does? Nicol will give back absolutely everything. Loyalty. Love. Fun. Adventure. Endless enthusiasm for life and her people. She is sitting in kennels waiting for someone to finally choose her properly. Please… don’t let there be nowhere left for her to go. ❤️ 🩺 Health Information Nicol is healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners receive a licensed laboratory test certificate). 💌 If you can offer forever or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
