Millie is a 13-year-old Thoroughbred mare, standing at approximately 16.2/16.3hh, looking for her next loving home where she can reach her full potential.
Previously raced, but retired sound and was always last🤣
She does have some superficial scarring on her legs from this time, which does not affect her in any way.
Due to work and childcare commitments, Millie is up for sale — this is a very sad sale as she is a much-loved mare, but she deserves more time and consistency than I will be able to give her once I start my new job.
Millie is a mare who truly thrives in a routine with consistent work. She has mainly been used for hacking, and I only have access to busy A roads, which she takes completely in her stride — she is brilliant in traffic and very level-headed out hacking.
She has popped a jump and shown herself to be willing and genuine, although she is still green in this area due to lack of schooling facilities. With the right rider and setup, she has plenty of potential to progress.
Millie can be a typical Thoroughbred and may become unsettled when left alone in the field or yard, so she would be best suited to a home where she has companionship.
She can be fidgety to mount nothing silly she’s simply impatient
She is not a novice ride and would suit a confident, competent rider who can continue her education and bring out the best in her.
This is a genuine and very reluctant sale. Millie is far too nice a mare to be left without the time and work she deserves.
