💔 ADAM’s Story
ADAM was found almost lifeless in remote woodland by passing tourists. He was starving, exhausted and close to freezing. Thankfully, kind strangers reached out for help on social media and rushed him to a veterinary clinic.
He was hospitalised for several days, received intensive care, warmth, and proper nutrition. Thanks to dedicated veterinary support, ADAM has made a remarkable recovery.
However, he is currently being kept provisionally in a crate at the clinic because the local shelter has no empty kennel space. He urgently needs a safe, loving home where he can continue to heal — emotionally and physically.
🐶 About ADAM
ADAM is a beautiful mixed-breed boy with soulful amber eyes and a gentle expression. He appears to have shepherd-type influences in his looks — possibly German Shepherd or Carpathian Shepherd heritage — though this is only a visual guess. What is certain is that he is utterly handsome and dignified.
He is good with people and responds kindly to gentle handling. Considering what he has endured, his trust in humans is truly touching.
ADAM does show resource guarding behaviour around food. This is completely understandable given his history of starvation. With calm, structured guidance and positive reinforcement training, this behaviour can be safely and effectively managed.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
