Sofie is a small, gentle girl of around 8 years old (possibly a bit younger), with an incredibly soft nature and a heart firmly focused on people. She loves being held, adores affection and has the most touching way of looking at her person with complete fascination, as though simply being together is something wonderful. ❤️
She is calm, clever and beautifully easy company — a little girl who doesn't need endless entertainment to be happy. Give her walks, affection, a comfortable home and someone to love, and Sofie will have everything that matters.

💔 Rescue Story
Sofie was evacuated from Zaporizhzhia — a frontline city where Russian missiles, drones and bombs regularly strike residential areas. Homes are damaged and destroyed, civilians are killed and injured, and many families have been forced to flee.
War leaves animals homeless too. Some are left behind during evacuation, others lose their owners or escape from damaged homes and suddenly find themselves on the streets.
We don't know exactly how Sofie lost her previous life, so we won't invent her story. What we do know is that she was brought away from this dangerous region to safety in western Ukraine.
She is safe now, but this incredibly people-loving little girl is living behind shelter bars. 😞
For Sofie, safety should only be the first half of her rescue. The second is giving her a family again. ❤️
🐾 More About Sofie
Sofie doesn't need time to decide whether humans are worth knowing. She comes to meet people straight away and is incredibly affectionate from the beginning.
She wants to be close. She loves being stroked and, despite being a grown-up lady, is very happy to be picked up and sit in someone's arms. At only 5–6 kg, she is perfectly sized for that particular hobby. 🥰
But Sofie isn't demanding. She has a calm, sensible nature and doesn't need to be the centre of attention every second. She simply seems happiest when she knows her person is nearby.
Sofie is certainly not an old lady who has finished enjoying life. She loves her walks, occasionally plays and remains interested in everything happening around her.
Sofie can look at her person with such fascination and concentration, following what they are doing as though nothing happening elsewhere could possibly be more interesting.
She is also friendly with other dogs. Her relationships with them are calm and easy; she isn't looking for endless wrestling or wild games, although she will occasionally join in and play.
Another dog could certainly be part of her future home, but Sofie doesn't need a canine companion to thrive. Her strongest interest is people.
She walks nicely on the lead and, and still has plenty of enthusiasm for walks and everyday adventures without needing an exceptionally active household.
🏡 Ideal Home
Sofie could fit beautifully into many different homes. She could live with another friendly dog or be perfectly happy as the only dog, enjoying all the human attention for herself.
She loves gentle and respectful children and could make a wonderful family dog, but she could be equally happy with a couple or individual looking for a smaller, affectionate companion.
Sofie wants the ordinary things that shelter dogs miss the most: waking up somewhere warm, going for walks with her person, being included in daily life, having a comfortable place to sleep and knowing there will always be a familiar pair of arms waiting when she wants a cuddle.
💞 At 7–8 years old, Sofie may not have the word “puppy” beside her name anymore. But what she offers instead is something very special: the calmer companionship of a grown-up dog who seems to understand exactly what matters to her. People. Affection. Being together. And after being brought from a war-affected region only to find herself living behind shelter bars, we would dearly love the next chapter of Sofie's life to be completely different.
No kennel. No waiting. Just a little girl looking up at her person with that adoring expression — and finally knowing that this person is hers. ❤️

Sofie is fully healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
