Description
Rusty is 4 year old, a medium sized mixed breed who needs an experienced owner. He would happily live with another dog but would most suit a one or two person home and needs to live with a woman. Not cat tested. No Children. Location Oxfordshire.
Rusty is very affectionate and loves to come to you for strokes and cuddles. He gets on well with other dogs and settles nicely in the home with them.
He is fearful of men so would need to live with a woman who can work on building up his trust of people. He needs a quiet home with minimal visitors and a home where someone is around most of the time.
He has started to play with toys in his foster home and enjoys engaging in play. He has a puppy like playful energy. He loves to cuddle up on the sofa with a blanket and also sleeps in his bed very happily.
Rusty loves to go out for walks and explore. He is happy to walk on the lead but can pull. He enjoys sniffing and watching the birds. He has shown signs or reactivity towards other dogs when out walking by lunging and barking/growling at them. Rusty would best enjoy walks in a quiet rural location whilst this is worked on.
He loves his food and treats. He is very hyperactive and vocal around food. He is currently fed in a separate room to the other resident dogs. This is due to his tendency to steal their food and has shown signs of food aggression. Rusty would benefit from training around food.
Rusty is still getting to grips with his housetraining and is showing very good progress. He loves being brushed and gets quite excited by it. He currently sleeps on the armchair in the lounge at night but does like to have company.
Rusty will need an experienced female owner who is happy to continue his training and work on his fears. He will make a beautiful companion for someone who understands him and has the time and patience to build his confidence.

He is fully Vaccinated, Neutered, Microchipped and vet checked.
