EXPERIENCED FOREVER HOME WANTED š
With extremely heavy hearts, we are looking for a forever home for our bonded pair of Kakarikis.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we want them to have the time and individual attention that they deserve. We will only consider homes where their welfare will come first.
They MUST stay together and will only be rehomed to an experienced bird owner.
About Them:
- Male (Moosh) - 3 years old, hand reared. Tame but can be defensive and nippy at times. He has lots of potential with someone who is patient, experienced and willing to work with him. He loves chatting away, he says āPeekabooā, āHelloā, āLove youā and makes kissing noises. He is also very food orientated, and has a sweet spot for chillies. š©µ
-Female (Kiki) - 1.5 years old, not tame. Kiki is a lovely, gentle bird who is very explorative and curious. She likes to nestle in small spaces and would thrive with someone happy to let her build trust at her own pace. š
We are looking for someone who can provide:
- Plenty of daily interaction and attention
- A spacious, suitable environment with lots of enrichment
- Safe opportunities for exercise and exploration
- A calm home with experienced bird owners who understand bird behaviour
To be considered, as reassurance to us, we will need:
- Details of previous bird experience
- Photos/videos of the cage/aviary they will be living in
A sensible rehoming fee applies, but the quality of their new home is our priority. š©·
If circumstances ever change, and you are no longer able to care for them, please let us know instead of selling them on.
This is truly heartbreaking for us, these birds mean the world to us. We are committed to finding them the loving, permanent home they deserve. We are more than happy to receive updates in their new home, as it would mean a lot to us to know they are happy. Thank you š¦ā¤ļø
