This is Nova. About a year ago, my sister’s partner rescued her from an abusive home and has done absolutely everything he could to give her a safe, loving life. Unfortunately, he has recently lost his job and is living in a small flat where he can no longer give Nova the space and stability she deserves. We’ve contacted rescue centres and shelters across the South of England, but so far none have been able to take her. We’re also very worried about her ending up somewhere that doesn’t understand her needs, as that could make her anxiety and fears even worse. Nova is a genuinely lovely dog. Because of her past, she has separation anxiety and is initially fearful of men, but once she trusts you she’s affectionate, loyal, and loving. She just needs someone patient who understands that she’s had a difficult start in life.
