This is honestly the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but due to a relationship breakdown and major changes in my circumstances, I am looking for the very best forever home for my beautiful KC registered Dogue de Bordeaux, Hank. Hank is 3 years old, male, intact, and completely adored. This decision is through absolutely no fault of his own and has broken my heart. He is a typical Bordeaux in many ways, loving, loyal, stubborn, affectionate, protective of his home, and very attached to his people. He absolutely adores women and loves nothing more than kisses, cuddles, and being close to you. One of his favourite things to do is sit on the windowsill watching the world go by. Hank currently lives with two smaller dogs and has always been fantastic with them. He enjoys the company of other dogs, although recently he has become protective over my female dog while she has been in season. Because of this, any introductions to other dogs would need to be done carefully and sensibly. He is a very strong dog and can push boundaries like many Dogue de Bordeaux can, so he needs an experienced owner who understands large guardian breeds and can provide confident, calm handling and continued training. He is currently walked using a Dogmatic headcollar, which I have found gives the safest control for him. Hank eats a raw diet and can be a very fussy eater at times. He would come with around four weeks worth of raw food, and I also have a freezer available if needed for storage. I love this dog with my whole heart, which is exactly why I know he deserves somebody who can give him the firm, confident handling and stability that I sadly cannot provide on my own anymore. This decision has been made entirely out of love for him and wanting the very best life possible for my boy. This is not a first come, first served situation.
