Meet Abel ❤️
This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, so please only serious enquiries. Abel means the absolute world to me, and I am in no rush whatsoever to rehome him. Finding the right person and home is far more important than finding a quick one, and I will be doing plenty of meet-ups and checks to make sure he is safe, happy, and truly loved.
Abel is an incredibly loving, loyal, affectionate boy with so much personality. He absolutely adores his people and forms very deep bonds. He’s funny, clever, gentle, and full of love to give. He enjoys being close to you, loves attention and comfort, and is happiest when he feels included as part of the family. He has brought so much joy into my life and has such a sweet soul.
This decision is purely due to a change in circumstances. My work now requires me to travel and spend longer periods out of the house, and it simply isn’t fair on Abel. He struggles with separation anxiety and finds being left alone difficult. He does feel safest and most secure in his crate, however he will bark for the first few minutes after being left. This is not his fault at all — it’s anxiety-based and comes from needing reassurance and stability. Once settled, he relaxes, but he really needs a home where someone is around more often and can give him the time, patience, and consistency he deserves.
Because of this, Abel would be best suited to someone experienced, patient, and understanding of anxious dogs, ideally someone home most of the time or with a calmer lifestyle. In the right environment, he absolutely thrives.
This is genuinely heartbreaking for me, so please understand how much this decision has weighed on me. I love him deeply and only want the very best life for him.
If you think you could offer Abel the loving, secure forever home he deserves, please get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself and the kind of home/lifestyle you can offer, also feel free to ask me any questions.
