An incredibly genuine, kind-hearted, and clean-limbed young pony with a great start in life.
Backed last year and lightly hacked, he was intentionally left over the winter to allow his skeleton to mature as he was still growing bum high.
Due to the demands of running two businesses and home-educating my son, I simply do not have the time or consistency he deserves to bring him back into work.
Rather than rushing him or letting him stall with a stop-start routine, I have made the sensible decision to sell him to someone who can give him the dedicated time he needs to reach his full potential.
He has only ever had positive, correct experiences and is completely unspoilt. There have been no negative associations made so you have a genuine blank unspoilt canvas to work with.
He is like a big, affectionate puppy who is always in your face, loves attention, and incredibly friendly. Because he is so loving, he does occasionally need a gentle reminder about personal space! He is a truly sweet, level-headed, and honest young horse who genuinely wants to please.
Though he stands at 14hh on the withers, he is a compact, short-backed, and sporty type under his feather. Because of his short back, he will limit rider size, but he has excellent bone, clean limbs, and moves beautifully. He is 100% sound and healthy.
He is a complete blank canvas who has never been schooled in an arena. However, he has a fantastic foundation:
* Hacked out lightly after being backed last year.
* Attended pleasure rides and behaved impeccably.
* Attended in-hand pole clinics.
* He has never bucked, reared, or bolted, but he is understandably green and babyish. He will need hand holding as although sensible he does lack confidence as babies do. Therefore he isnt a first pony. He will be a fun easy project for a competent rider that can give him a pat and say "I got this let's go".
No expense has been spared in his upbringing. He has had the absolute best of everything:
* Up to date with all vaccinations and worming.
* Regularly seen by the dentist (wolf teeth have been successfully removed).
This is an incredibly difficult and genuine sale of a much-loved pony. He will make a phenomenal project for a kind, loving, and experienced home to produce.
Strictly no time-wasters, joyriders, or casual weekend window shoppers. Don't "pop in" just because you're local. I have this this decision due to lack of time so the last thing i want to do is unsuitable viewings.
Please only enquire if you are in a genuine position to proceed with funds, yard space and permission from the decision maker if it isn't you.
Also you must understand the needs of a green youngster, and can offer him the consistency he deserves. As youngsters go i doubt you'll get easier but he still needs to be shown the ropes.
If you're highly suspicious because the horse world has duped you. While i sympathise and agree there's little integrity left in the world. I am not one of these and I am having to trust you to take on a pony who means a lot to me. Which is the reason I keep changing my mind.
