Unfortunately and reluctantly we are looking for a new home for rocco our one year old staff x border collie due to issues involving our older dog in the home. We took on rocco from another home back in November where he didnt have the best start in life, but i can explain in more detail to those interested. Rocco is a super loving, affectionate and playful dog. Hes very intelligent and clean within the house provided hes let out. Rocco does have his issues he is a very anxious dog who doesnt like to be left alone for long periods of time so will benefit from a home where people are around hes left for 4 and a half hours a day at most as i say he gets seperation anxiety and will chew, he can be wary of strangers which weve really tried to work with him on that and hes came on leaps and bounds. He loves children he lives with my 10 and 8 year old and has a really loving bond with them, although he loves children i would recommend an adult only home or children 8+ due to the fact he gets quite overwhelmed with lots of screaming etc. so would benefit from a calmer home. I wouldn’t recommend him for first time owners due to the issues he does have it maybe to much. He loves his walks and walks with a harness and although he has good recall of lead we keep him on a long line as he can be anxious so its safety for him more so. He does pull but again the harness has helped and hes improved alot more. He will need to be the only dog in the home as he wants all the attention for himself, he will need a patient home where his training can continue, he really is an incredibly special dog aside from the issues he does have an if it werent for the situation within my home he wouldnt be going anywhere. I will not just send him to anyone and please only serious enquiries as im finding this difficult enough, ive contacted rescues but as such ive had no response or they cant help so this really is a last resort as the situation is now urgent.
