Description
π€ HE WAS THROWN AWAY LIKE RUBBISH. WE THINK HE IS PRICELESS. π€
There are rescue stories that make us sad.
And then there are stories that make us wonder what on earth is wrong with people.
Tiny WINK was found dumped at a recycling centre.
Not outside somebody's home.
Not handed to a rescue.
Not taken somewhere safe.
Thrown away amongst the rubbish.
A living, breathing little dog weighing barely 3 kilograms. π
And Wink wasn't well.
When we took him into our care, it was obvious that one of his eyes was causing him problems and that he could hardly see through it. He needed veterinary attention, treatment and, perhaps more than anything else, somebody to finally care what happened to him.
So that is exactly what he got. β€οΈ
Today, this tiny discarded boy is safe, cared for and discovering what life should always have been.
And despite what humans did to him, Wink hasn't given up on humans.
πΎ ABOUT WINK
π Date of Birth: 20 July 2025
βοΈ Sex: Male
βοΈ Weight: approximately 3 kg β an absolutely tiny boy!
π¨ Colour: Black with tan/grey markings
π Breed: Small mixed breed
β€οΈ Temperament: Sweet, affectionate and people-friendly
Wink is a wonderfully endearing little character. Beneath that scruffy black coat is a tiny dog who simply wants what every dog wants β security, affection and someone of his own.
At only 3 kg, he may be tiny in size, but he has already shown an enormous amount of resilience.
ποΈ WINK'S EYE
When Wink was rescued, one of his eyes was in poor condition and his vision through it was badly affected.
He has received veterinary treatment and we will, of course, make sure his adopter has the relevant information about his eye and any future care that may be required.
It certainly hasn't stopped this little man from enjoying his new life. β€οΈ
π©Ί HEALTH & VETTING
Wink has been:
π Fully vaccinated
πͺͺ Microchipped
πͺ± Treated against internal and external parasites
ποΈ Veterinary treated for his eye problem
We expect to be able to have him neutered before rehoming.
As with our dogs, all necessary health checks will be completed before he leaves our care.
π‘ WINK'S PERFECT HOME
After the way his life began, we want something very simple for Wink:
Someone who will treasure him.
He doesn't need anything extraordinary. A warm bed, good food, little walks, gentle hands, cuddles and somebody who smiles when they see that funny little face coming towards them.
Because at only 3 kg, Wink is the sort of little fellow who could quite happily become somebody's tiny shadow. π₯°
What he does need is a home where he will be treated as a member of the family and where his humans understand that adoption is a commitment for life.
