🍫 TWIX NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME 🍫
Twix may have a sweet name, but life hasn’t always felt very sweet for this beautiful young girl 💔
Currently in foster care in Wigan, 8-month-old Twix is searching for an urgent foster or forever home with patient, experienced adopters who can help her finally feel safe in the world 🏡✨
At heart, Twix is still very much a puppy 🐾
She loves toys, enjoys chewing her plastic bone, and has recently started trying to play with her foster dog friends 🥹 Once she trusts you, her affectionate, gentle personality begins to shine through.
But Twix is also an extremely worried little soul who becomes overwhelmed very easily. The world feels big and scary to her right now, especially unfamiliar people and visitors in the home.
She isn’t ready for busy walks yet and currently feels safest at home and in the garden, where she’s slowly starting to build confidence 🌸
🐶 Fully vaccinated & microchipped
🚗 Travels quietly in the car
🛏️ Crate trained & sleeps well overnight
🏡 Toilet trained
🐾 Can be left short periods with other dogs nearby
💖 No aggression towards people, but reacts when frightened
🐱 Can live with dog-savvy cats
👧 Children aged 12+ considered
Twix needs:
✨ Calm, predictable surroundings
✨ Experienced adopters familiar with fearful/reactive dogs
✨ Slow introductions to visitors and new experiences
✨ Kind guidance, patience and positive reinforcement
She could potentially live with a calm, large female dog who can help guide her, but she does not like dogs smaller than herself.
Twix doesn’t need someone perfect. She just needs someone willing to see past the fear and help her discover what it feels like to be loved, protected and safe 💛
