Sometimes the very best dogs find themselves needing a second chance. Sweet Zack recently lost the only home he had ever known when his beloved owner sadly passed away after a spell in hospital. Through no fault of his own, Zack suddenly found himself alone, wondering where his person had gone and why life had changed so dramatically. For a month, his owner's son visited twice a day to walk and care for him, but Zack spent the rest of his time waiting patiently at home. When it became clear that the family could not take him on and no rescue spaces were available elsewhere, we knew we had to find a way to help. Thankfully, Zack's luck changed when a wonderful foster home stepped forward. Since arriving in foster, he has shown everyone exactly what an incredible dog he is. Zack is quite simply an angel. He has settled beautifully with the resident dogs, slept through the night, asked to go outside for the toilet, enjoyed a pampering bath, and even celebrated his fresh start with his first-ever pup cup at the café. Everywhere he goes, people fall in love with him.

Great with other dogs
Clean in the house
Walks beautifully on a lead
Has reliable recall off lead

A calm, well-mannered companion Although Zack is now entering his senior years, he still enjoys getting out and about and being involved in family life. He's not ready for retirement in front of the television just yet!
Zack's Ideal Home The one thing Zack misses most is companionship.
Having always been part of a family, we'd love to find him a home where someone is around for much of the day. Whether that's a retired couple, someone who works from home, or a family with a flexible lifestyle, Zack will thrive where he can enjoy company, affection, and plenty of adventures.
While Zack is friendly around children, due to his age we would prefer a home without very young children. Older, sensible children who understand how to respect a dog's space would be absolutely fine.
Zack has settled beautifully alongside other dogs in foster care, and we think he would love the companionship of a friendly canine companion in his new home.
Equally, he would be happy as an only dog provided he receives plenty of love and attention.
He could happily fit into many different households and would make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. After losing everything he knew, all Zack wants is a sofa to snooze on, people to love, and a place to call home once again.
