Daisy was returned to us after being adopted as a pup. She was aggressive towards other dogs, guarded her space and is one of the most stubborn dogs we’ve worked with. We believe Daisy has some Mali in her mix which would make sense! With lots of training, persistence and out-stubborning her, we eventually earned Daisy’s respect and in return saw the most loving girl come out of her. She loves a cuddle, likes to look lovingly into your eyes as much as she can and will present her belly for tickles and her big nose for kisses at any opportunity she gets! Daisy learnt about other dogs, how to respect their space and how to play, especially with the pups in foster where she was super gentle. We can’t be prouder of all she has achieved.
We have advertised Daisy for a while and we could start to see that foster with so many dogs was no longer suiting Daisy. She is desperate for her own person that she can give her all to and receive the same love in return. Kennels would also not be suitable for her and she would shut down and regress. She needed more 1:1 than we are currently able to give her….. along came Claire and Paul. Claire and Paul run a wonderful home from home boarding service locally and offered Daisy a space with them. We took Daisy for an introduction and both Daisy (and we) instantly fell in love with both Claire and Paul with their beautiful space which Daisy can use and explore. Daisy has been with them for a few months now and has won their hearts and is having an absolute blast!! They have no bad words to say. We wanted to keep her locally so we could continue to work with her and socialise her.
Daisy has been in kennels since 12/10/23 - 129 days.
Daisy would prefer to be an only dog although is good with other dogs. No cats and no children for Daisy. She needs firm and experienced adopters who are open to lots of cuddles and slobbery kisses also!
