Description
Recently purchased from original owner a week ago, Jakey is a fun, comical and loving young boy (Pug x Jack Russell) who knows some basic skills (especially for cooked chicken!), is house clean, wears a harness easily and needs proper lead training as he pulls a bit but is already getting better. He will walk nicely once he's calm and has a chance to settle.
He has no breathing or other medical issues.
I have had an abrupt change of circumstances I could never have seen coming so need to urgently rehome this beautiful little boy with a little old man face..
He doesn't appear to have been dog-socialised so he will need some doggy classes or a dog parent who knows how to do this, but he does wag his little tail madly when he sees another pooch and is not reactive, and as he is only 11mths and super clever, he'll pick it all up quickly.
He shows zero aggression, LOVES his cuddles, gives kisses and I think he would ideally be suited to live with another older doggy friend who can teach him the way, as he really seems keen for pals-but doesn't know how to say hello yet. He's nervy of strangers coming in the house but I guess that is because he has only just moved here, I say 'nervy', but his little tail goes mad waggy, he gets briefly vocal, then lays down and has a go on a chew, he will happily take chicken from anyone!
He can jump 4ft high so you'll need min 5ft fences. He plays fetch and drops it, sits, knows to go lay down in his bed on command, and is learning to play with toys and getting the hang of 'stay' - he does zoomies round the house with his fave toys which has me in fits of laughter.
His nature is that of a genuinely sweet puppy, he is not destructive, adapts really really quickly, and has learned to occupy himself with chews now during day so is really not high-maintenance but he would like two walks a day-morning and evening before his breakfast and dinner. I think he would go out for walkies all day, and loves when his lead comes out. I haven't left him alone so far so use your best judgement and work up to leaving him very slowly once he is with you.
Will come with everything I have bought for him (toys/chews/treats/puzzle bowl/water bowl/harness/lead/separate collar/licky mat/lots of food/a few extra flea & worming tablets plus ear cleaner, eye wipes, poo bags etc as well as the crate that came with him when I bought him last week.
He has been vaccinated, flead and wormed and his ears and eyes are clear and healthy. His teeth are white as snow. He sleeps all night now, and goes to back door when he wants to do a wee/poo. He will go toilet on a walk.
I'm properly gutted as he's adorable, but I'm left with no choice-it's my first dog and I didn't know I was allergic and I'm now having asthma attacks.
Jakey is neutered and microchipped. He has up to date vaccinations and has a vet whose details will be provided.
He loves running about in the garden and likes spending time outside-so I will not rehome to a property without one.
