Luna is an incredibly affectionate girl who forms a very strong bond with her people. Once you've earned her trust, you'll gain a loyal little shadow who adores snuggling up beside you, soaking up head kisses, and just being close to the person she loves. One of her favourite things is curling up alongside her foster mum perfectly content being a companion cat.
Luna is a gentle soul with a nervous nature. Visitors can be a little overwhelming for her, so she usually prefers to retreat to a safe hiding spot until the coast is clear. Because of this, we feel Luna would thrive in a calm, understanding adult-only home where she can settle at her own pace and continue to grow in confidence.
Luna has shown no interest to explore the great outdoors and, due to her timid personality, we believe she would be happy as an INDOOR cat, provided she has plenty of room for zoomies!
Luna absolutely loves her treats and a game of fetch, she is quite vocal and loves to have a good chirrup especially at moths and flies!
Luna gets along with the resident male cats in her foster home but would need a sensible introduction. Luna's favourite place is wherever her human is. She loves to stretch herself dramatically across her foster mum whilst she watches the iPad or TV. She thoroughly enjoys a pamper session with head kisses and a toebean massage.
Luna came in to us as an older feral with severe calici virus. She has had extensive treatment and has been treated with a long term course of anti-viral medication which she has responded well to. This has now finished. Luna has been left with very minimal mild gingivitis which does not cause her any issues. If this was to worsen at any point in the future, the Sanctuary would be happy to undertake tooth extraction of affected teeth at our HQ site in Melling with our dental vet. This is not currently needed and it is advised that it isn't performed on cats younger than 2 years old.
