Description
I have kept and bred both Hermann and Spur Thighed tortoises for over 46 years and am now retiring due to ill health. I have worked alot with different organisations to help these wonderful creatures and have learnt so much.Almost all my girls and boys have now gone to special homes.I only have 1 left .
This Hermann is a Wildling , this means they have never been indoors on a table under a lamp. From hatching they went straight into the garden and hibernated at 13 weeks old outside in their house. It has had 3 hibernations and is completely garden weather hardy as it would be in the wild. They forage naturally in a large area and will need a large safe garden to roam in as they have always done. They eat a great diet of greens and foods that can be bought from the supermarket as well. They hibernate naturally , they do it themselves so there is no stress for the owner. They hibernate in their house with hay and so they are kept from the winter elements but are in the fresh cold Winter air (the colder the better hibernation) once they wake around mid March, bathe to reyhdrate and then they are off.Comes with Article 10 certificate pictures of the parents and ongoing help and support.Any questions please ask.
