I am sadly having to rehome my male and female shar peis, Athena and Alias due to a significant change in my family circumstances. This is absolutely heartbreaking for me to do and I have reluctantly put it off for months as these dogs did not have the best start therefore I have made sure they have been loved deeply and cared for since being with me for the last couple of years. My boy Alias is the most loving boy you will ever have, he loves cuddles, attention and playing no matter what time it is, he loves his teddies and toys and also going for walks and playing. He does pull when on the lead and needs work on his recall but he is only 2 therefore he will learn. When I purchased him from a breeder he was living in outdoor kennels so I made sure when I got him that he felt safe and cosy being at home with me, he sleeps in bed with me, allowed on all furniture and is treated like one of my babies. Athena my girl was bought from a breeder who always kept her in a crate and was very timid when we got her so im not sure if there was neglect and abuse as she still has social anxiety and dubious of people. She can come across as snappy and anxious when first being around her however once she is familiar with you and you build up that trust she is the most beautiful sweet girl. Athena loves playing especially with Alias, she loves toy fighting and going for walks also. She does pull ever so slightly on the lead but after a little more training she will be fine, her recall is good alos when off lead. I would ideally like them to go together as they have lived with each other for over a year therefore Im not sure if they would have separation anxiety. This decision has not come lightly and no doubt I will regret it and be upset over this for quite some time however I am now working long back to back shifts and due to being out the house every day and not returning until late in the evening, they are not getting the attention and care they used to get from me and they do not deserve that and deserve someone who can give them the time and care I used to give them. Please only contact if you are serious about rehoming them as this is very upsetting for me as it is therefore I dont want to constantly be messaged and messed around. Please also note that they are not from the same litter, Alias is 2 and Athena is 3. Both dogs come microchipped, upto date with vaccines and flea and wormed. Both are also house trained but I did start to crate them months ago when working just because I was working long hour shifts. They do share a large crate which I will also provide, this is a fantastic crate and not one of the thin cheap ones so they have alot of room.
