About Him
Vocal & Entertaining: He is a gorgeous 6-year-old male. He is very talkative, regularly greets you with a bright "Hello!", and loves having long, muttering conversations with himself.
Fully Feathered: He has been beautifully cared for and has no history of plucking or self-harming behavior.
Cockatoo Volume: He does engage in frequent, loud contact calling to look for attention.
His Specific Needs
Avian Companionship: He has been a solitary bird with me, and I strongly want him to go to a home where he can have other birds for company.
Someone Home During the Day: Due to a change in my health situation, I cannot bear the thought of him being alone all day. His ideal home is with someone who works from home or is retired.
A Confident Handler: He is a typical, highly sensitive Umbrella Cockatoo. He requires an experienced keeper who knows how to read large parrot body language, handle "cockatoo attitude" calmly, and use positive reinforcement to set boundaries. He will not be sold to a novice or a family looking for a "cuddly pet."
