Description
I’d like to introduce our boy Rocky, he is a German shepherd cross American bulldog. Rocky is coming up to 7 months now.
His situation is a bit different to others we rehoused him off someone who wasn’t caring for him correctly at all, with the plan of getting him out that situation and finding him the best home possible.
We have had him for around 2 months now, he came to us completely untrained. He is now toilet trained, crate trained, can do basics commands and we are working on leash training as he refuses to go on walks, he gets to a certain point outside our house and won’t go any further.
Rocky is a nervous boy and is afraid of his own shadow, he absolutely adores people and children, he is friendly with cats and dogs however he is very scared of other dogs he doesn’t show any form of aggression he’s just very scared which we have been working on.
The reason we decided not to keep him is that we have a young baby and my partner works long days and I just don’t have enough time to put into everything he needs, we’ve tried our best and have brought him on along way but as of a long term situation it’s just not sustainable for us.
Rocky is such a sweet and loving boy, he loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa, he thinks he’s a lap dog bless him. He does not know his own size and can be bouncy especially when excited.
Rocky needs a home with someone who has experience with large breeds and who will continue to work on his training and has a lot of patience for a nervous dog, he needs lots of encouragement in the outside world as everything is scary to him.
We will be very selective on who he goes to, I will be asking questions and doing home checks, he won’t be going to just anyone.
His next home will need to be his forever home so please only enquire if you can give him everything he needs, any questions are welcome there is so much more information I can give on him.
